As well as the classes listed, Daniel also teaches one-to-one yoga courses to develop your own personal yoga practice, individually tailored to meet your needs and focused on yoga as a restorative and strengthening practice.
Daniel Petkoff (M.Ost) is a registered osteopath (GOsC) and a registered senior yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance Professionals) with over 20 years of yoga experience. He has developed an integrated practice bringing the benefits of both osteopathic adjustment and yoga practice to create comprehensive courses of treatment and long-term health plans.
Yoga and osteopathy complement each other. The objective of the physical practice of yoga and osteopathy are the same: to positively affect the structure and function of the body through physical action and adjustment.

I create individually tailored courses of treatment and long term health strategies by bringing the benefits of both osteopathy and yoga to your personal practice.
As your yoga teacher, my role is to enable you to develop a beneficial and safe practice appropriate to your own ability and aims and to guide you as you build your own personal yoga practice for your long term health. The physical practice of yoga (asana postures, pranayama breath control) helps to align the body and spine, and to improve concentration and build strength, flexibility and balance. A novice yoga practitioner soon feels the effect that this practice has on their body and in turn their overall sense of wellbeing. Achieving increasingly subtle and specific effects on the structure and function of the body through yoga practice takes many years of individual practice and draws on empirical knowledge and informed intuition.
My role as an osteopath is to facilitate your body’s own healing mechanisms. When the structure of the body is correctly aligned, it can achieve an optimal state of wellness. Misalignments in the musculoskeletal structure can be deeply embedded and their origin, effect and resolution can be difficult to identify without specialist training. Osteopaths understand the structure and function of the body in great detail, with rigorous training in anatomy, physiology and pathology. Osteopaths develop a highly refined sense of touch ‘palpation’ which they use for diagnosis and treatment. We are skilled in the manipulation of the body, making precise physical adjustments to the musculoskeletal system to positively affect the body’s physiologic function.
